Between the 15th and 17th day after bariatric surgery.

For 1 year after bariatric surgery, between 6 and 7 months later the dose to be consumed is changed.

For 1 year after bariatric surgery, between 6 and 7 months later the doses to be consumed are changed, after a year it is specified with which to continue depending on the conditions and needs of each patient.

From the first day of surgery it is very important to stay active with walks, in the introduction of solids it is recommended to start with physical activity preferably (swimming, GYM, bicycle, etc.)

Alcohol consumption is not recommended during the first 6 months after bariatric surgery, since alcohol provides calories, decreases the effectiveness of weight loss and its ingestion predisposes to vitamin and mineral deficiencies.

On average from 4 to 9 kilograms per month, however, each person has a different rhythm of life, changes in habits and adherence to an adequate diet, so weight loss is very variable, we could be more specific at 3 months after surgery and calculating the average weight loss in a more personalized way.

- Age between 18 and 60 years - BMI ≥ 40 kg/m2 or ≥ 35 kg/m2 with associated major comorbidities, likely to improve after weight loss - Continued failures to conservative treatments of supervised lifestyles - Ability to understand the mechanisms by which weight is lost with bariatric surgery. - Commitment to adhere to the follow-up regulations after surgery, with the personal capacity to carry them out or social and family support that contributes to guaranteeing adequate adherence.

Until a few years ago, there was a consensus to delay pregnancy for at least 2 years after bariatric surgery due to the theoretical risk of malnutrition secondary to rapid initial weight loss. Currently, it is recommended to wait at least 12 months after bariatric surgery.
